Location - Just 5 minutes from Costa Blanca Beaches

The area is on the south eastern corner of Spain, and is well known for year round sunshine and clear seas. An ideal place to play golf, or just relax and catch the sun throughout the year.

The villa is in the Oriheula Costa area, and is situated 5 minutes from the many excellent beaches of the Southern Costa Blanca. The beautiful Verdemar III estate of Villamartin is just a few kilometres south of the Spanish resort of Torrevieja with it's lively promenades, busy harbour and wide array of restaurants and shops.

There are a number of working "salterns" or salt lakes found along this coast. They are an important staging ground for migratory birds travelling from Northern Europe to winter in Africa. These large lakes are backed with furtile citrus groves which rise up to mountains in the north and west creating a microclimate which the World Health Organisation reports to be one of the heathiest in the world.

Travelling to the villa is very easy as two local airports are within easy reach. Both Alicante and Murcia airports have many scheduled and low cost flights from all areas of the UK. For those travelling by car, the area can be reached within 20 hours. There are a number of excellent routes from the French ports and Eurotunnel. In fact it's a direct motorway route all the way, right to the La Zenia motorway exit which is very close to the villa.

The Costa Calida is just to the south with the warm sheltered waters of the Mar Menor which are ideal for watersports. Many other sports are catered for at the World famous La Manga Golf Complex.

There are a number of large spanish towns within an hour's travel including Alicante, Benidorm, Murcia, Oriheula, Elche and Cartegena.

Further afield is the Costa Almeria with it's rugged coasts and the Sierra Plains well loved in Spaghetti Westerns. To the north is the historic city of Valencia.
